I've had good luck with my Reefmaster, with film speeds all the way up to 800. With fixed aperture and shutter speed, you do have to be careful what you're shooting. But for deep, dark environments, the 800 worked just fine.

I would also echo the sentiments of those recommending the strobe. A lot of my pictures are unusable because of the backscatter. For what it's worth, Bonica also makes a strobe that fits the Reefmaster. Seems to be a few shekels cheaper, so it might be worth a look.

i've got the whole works for the reefmaster: external strobe, 3x-8x-16x macro lenses and the macro wand (which some divers like to call 'fish-tickler').

this camera has amazed me since the first time i took it under. my first roll produced some stunning shots for a point-n-shoot. tho' i won't deny that some were also total washouts, but that was due to the fact that it was my first try with UW photography. with lots of practice and reading-up of UW photography books, my skills are slowly improving and the results are great.

the only thing i didn't like about the reefmaster when i first bought it was it's positive buoyancy. always had to add an extra weight on myself. but i've since gotten around that by strapping my torchlight on the strobe bar, at least making it neutral. sealife has already produced a weight for the camera but i've yet to check whether it's available on my side of the planet.

for those of you who already own the reefmaster and the external strobe, go get the macro set. i'm sure you'll be even more amazed with the results of your close-up shots.
