    Any news on the DC800.

Specifically I'm wondering how on Gods green earth I'm supposed to attach the pro strobes since the part that mounts to the camera body seems to have been changed.

The strobes will attach to the bottom of the new DC800 the same way they did with our previous models. (Knob and screw).

Thanks Denise but my actual question is how the optical cable will be connected to the front of the camera housing.

The setup will be the same, with the cable connecting to the camera. We have modified the flash deflector though, so that it clips around the entire lens firmly (as opposed to the previous connector which just sat on top of the lens). See our website for a picture: SeaLife Cameras - Underwater Digital Camera - DC800 Pro

    Does that help?

Yup, so the flash deflector will still accept two optical cables then?
Any plans for a hardwired solution of the flashes?

There needs to be a "Win a DC800" contest. I bought my DC600 Elite last year, and love it! I'll probably skip the DC800 simply because I am happy with images from the 600....

Of course, if there were a photo contest to win a DC800, I would be first in line!

SB is running a "sticker" contest right now with some big names on board (above the water line and below).

Something to think about for the future, Denise :)

Thanks. I could have taken the time to clean up the "muck" in the dark spots, but decided to leave it....

I have a few shots of this one (90')... He was out, then he backed off while I placed the sticker... Then, came back out to see what it was, even nosed it...

That was at 90'? Great color. I really need to get my flash. I think I will order it next week.
