Hi all

I am VERY new to diving and only completed my O/W dives last weekend.

Before the check-out dives I purchased Seac Sub Manta fins. Can be seen on this website:
http://www.seacsub.com/scheda_prodotto.asp?ID=170

I was told by the sales guy that they are very good (and they were quite expensive as well ..for me) but anyway I bought them and did a few sessions with them in the pool, but after my check-out dives I'm not too sure if I like 'em or not.

The reason I am saying this is because it feels like they are very "resistant" in the water and as though It takes a lot of effort to swim with them. My boyfriend tried them out and he says it's my imagination.

I also noticed that they aren't as "soft" or flexible as most other fins...maybe this is why they feel so much more difficult to swim with?

Does anyone else have these fins and are you happy with them??? Like I said I am new to diving and probably don't have a clue what I am talking about???

Any opinions would be great!

Thanks,

hi

you could try doing the frog-kick for a few dives and see how that works out; It takes two or three dives to learn and it's much more relaving than the flutter-kick (at least to me it was).

I think rigid fins are more suited to frogkick than flutterkick (somebody who knows, please confirm this :) ).
