Store Scuba Lead Instructor: Sea Sports Scuba, Houston Texas
Job Description: Primary Staff Scuba Instructor.
Responsibilities Include:
Teaching Scuba Classes, Open Water through Divecontrol Specialist.
Sales associate for Dive Equipment, including regulators, dive computers, buoyancy compensators, photographic equipment, etc.
Dive Equipment repairs including scuba regulars, some compressor maintenance, tank valves and other diving equipment as required.
Cylinder inspection and tank filing as required. PSI Tank Inspection.
Inventory Management, including shipping and receiving.
Assist in routine store housekeeping functions
Interaction with company management in all aspects of dive retail business. Experience as a travel group leader is beneficial.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is highly motivated with people skills. An SSI certified Scuba instructor, with technical dive training a positive. Instructor with other agencies can crossover to SSI through employer if necessary. Able to interact with customers and lead group dive trips. A highly competitive individual able to lead and train others in the sport of Scuba Diving. Skills such as a certified Gas Blender a plus. Photo equipment knowledge and skills is also helpful.
Pay is salary plus a percentage of personal gross sales, income therefore varies but typically is $45,000 to $60,000 plus.
