It's rather telling to me that we can raise pigs in conditions where they never get a chance to even see the light of day and are subject to all kinds of abuses day in and day out until the day we slaughter them and virtually nobody says anything about it. Even PW is a carnivore who likes a bacon cheeseburger.

Pigs are smart animals too. Why the double standard? There's no shortage of minke whales, so it has nothing to do with a scarce resource.

I wanted to bring this point up...and the World Wildlife Federation makes this case: The cetaceans (whales, dolphins, and porpoises) that are under the greatest threat are the smaller whales, dolphins, and porpoises that don't receive any attenion from the media. Here are the links and the PDF:
