I'm thinking about buying the Sea Quest PRO QD+. I've heard both good and bad things about this (which is normal) but they both kind of equal it out. I'd be using it for recreational diving. Should this be the BCD I get or you reccommend something else? (Oh yeah, I want to get something wth integrated weights)

Thanks.

I'm a satisfied owner of 2 SeaQuest Pro QD BCs, but my recommendation is for you to go out and try on multiple BCs. If you are like me, you will know when you find the right BC. It just "feels right". You can put on a tank and do a hula dance and the tank stays with you.

Oh, and before the usual BP/wings crowd jump in..... there are divers that swear by a backplate and wings. It may take a bit of effort to find one to try out though.

Over the years I had a Mares, IDI and other BCDs. A few years ago I got an Oceanic Probe BCD and now we have 4 of these in the family.

If you haven't already made your purchase, try on a Probe!

I considered these

SP - Knighthawk
SQ Pro QD+
Sherwood Avid
Genesis Phantom

For me, hands down the SQ. Has been a great rig and would not change for anything as weight integrated BC's go for tropical or warmer water diving.

Another vote here for the Pro QD+, I have the new Sure Lock version and love it - nor have my weights ever made a spontaneous break for freedom :)
