I'm planning to dive with them in February. I've read some good reviews on them but those are all pretty "dated". Can anyone give me some recent reviews on this operator. So far the communication with them has been excellent but info from this board would be helpful. - Thanks.

A friend of mine is doing his DM cert there. According to him, it's an excellent operator unless you're looking for someone to hold your hand.

BTW, welcome (Scub)aBoard!

Thanks for this info. We're not looking to have our hands held but do want assurance that it's a quality operation. Hard to tell via email from here in Montreal. I noted that you have recommended them in the past as well.

That friend just keeps telling me how good they are, especially when compared to other nameless operators.

Mike S, thank you for the link to the Aruba board. You're right, they seem to be very popular. Seems a shame though that they seemingly are "a diamond in the rough".

In my world travels I would never recommend Aruba, Jamaica, Belize or the Turks Caicos for a safe Caribbean vacation. Bottom Line, I will support the boycott where vacation destination police and goverments is unscrupulous corrupt especially in Aruba.....

FYI, this thread is about SEAruba Fly & Dive, please take your non-related opinion elsewhere. Oh wait, you already did...

Hi, newly registered to these boards, but have read for several months. We chartered W/ these folks last week. We chartered because wife & daughter wanted to snorkle while son and I dove on some wrecks. We also dove in Dominica prior to this dive. I don't know what is meant by " diamond in the rough". I thought this operation was great! Very friendly and thoroughly efficient even though the dives were booked full all day. I thought the charter price was worth every cent (or florin). Don't tell John, the owner that, because I don't want an increase next time! BTW, Steve, our Divemaster, was terrific in melding my inexperience(<25 dives) with my son (23 y.o., cert. ERT and paramedic, 50+ dives) advanced experience.
