ScubaToys BlackBeard's Trip

Is anyone else planning on going to BlackBeard's in September with ScubaToys. I just signed up yesterday.

I couldn't help notice that airfare from AUS -> NAS is fairly affordable. $344 for most days in September including the 9/6 - 9/13 dates needed to do the trip. All said and done it should be about a $1500 trip. Not too bad. I could do it for $1000 10 years ago but oh well.

I thought about doing the Bonaire trip but it's just too much $$$ for me to spend on myself.

I wanted to go on that trip, but that trip is after school has started and since I teach at a university, I had to book one earlier (July 27-Aug 2). Would have been a great time though, diving with a bunch of forum buddies . Have a great time!

It's kind of opposite for me. I have an 8 and 10 y/o and my wife wanted me to wait until summer vacation was over.

I did a BB's once. When they say "camping at sea," they're serious - only more cramped. Except you have to remove your dive suit to go to the galley for coffee, unlike west coast boats. I had a flu relapse. I would have abandoned the boat but the islands we were near did not have any medical help. I should have called DAN for evac.

I went 3 times 10-12 years ago. I have very fond memories and it'll be interesting if I've become pickier in my older age.

I'm going Labor Day week with my LDS, so we'll be there a week before you guys.
