hamsiss:
Hi everyone :) ,
Can anyone please explain me the main difference between these two and offer one of them. Price is not a problem for me (50€ no matter for breathing).

And also difference between MK17 or MK25 I know balanced piston and diaphram but the Scubbapro dealer offered me to buy MK25 and he said; in a first stage problem a balanced diaphram first stage may stop giving air, but the balanced piston would just freeflow and of course prefer freeflow instead of being out of air! But I didn't hear that from anyone except that dealer
may I suggest contacting ScubaPro technical dept for an exact analysis of each regarding performance, design and function. You can email them at swarranty@johnsonoutdoors.com They usually respond farily quickly and are very courteous.

Oh thanks for it I'll mail them but also I want to learn a user's or a technician's opinion

Does anyone have an idea about S555??
What's the difference between S600 and S555?
The S555 uses essentially the same case as the S600 and like the S600 is also a balanced 2nd stage. It however lacks the external inhalation effort adjustment found on the S600, X650, and G250HP.

Just the adjustment knob.

DA,
Have you ever tried it? (I ask it but I'm sure you've tried it :)) How is it? Should I compare it to S600 or forget about this useless comparison [because S600 is -of course- much better] ?

I have tried the 550 but not the 555 - not that there is much difference.

Performance wise the three are basically the same, the difference lies in whether you like the adjustable inhalation effort to allow minimal inhalation effort in a given situation (or the ability to detune it when in a current or on a scooter) or whether you prefer a reg that needs no attention during the dive (which is not entirely definitive either as you can set the adjustment knob on the S600 to breath freeflow free in the worst case orientation and then never adjust it again - in which case you get S500/555 performance.

if you don't like the idea of having an adjustment, get the S555 if you like having an adjustment, get the S600. You can't go wrong either way.

Thank you DA, I think I should try them for the best choice.

hamsiss, how are you for dive shops in Istanbul now? I lived near there when my dad was stationed at KCDI near Karamursel from 1971 to 1975. Other than some snorkeling gear & spear guns, there wasn't much in the city back then. I imagine that has changed by now.

That was where I learned to dive, in the bay the base is on.
