You could try the G500 air barrel; it's a good sign that the part numbers match up. On the G500 diagram that I have that is the correct part you're referring to. I just don't know if its a plastic part as well. If it works, you might start a trend. DA would almost certainly know if it would work. I mentioned chrome plated brass because that's what SP uses in the metal air barrels on my regs.

The D series is an oddball for service, but the balanced adjustable uses the G250 kit which is very common so you would not have the same service issues. But, you already have the S600 and many divers swear by them, and it is the top-of-the-line.

FWIW I love my MK25 S600 and just recently bought one of these for the wife. It will give you more air than you'll need and has performed flawlessly for me for the last 2 years.

If you can pick one up at LP for a good price go for it. THey do offer lifetime parts, but it will still cost you ~$25 per stage per year and if you forget to get is serviced on time ou pay for the parts (can add +$50) to your rebuild/service bill.

Cheers

I've been kicking around the thought of buying a new Zeagle flat head XP or SP MK17/G250V myself.

Well, I havent any experience with Zeagle, but I do with Atomic and Poseidon. They're all great regs, but so far my MK17/G250V that I just got is just better than pockets on a shirt in my opinion.:D

Now that everyone's going nuts for the G250V, maybe SP will see the light and re-issue the metal 2nd stages. I wonder what that's going to cost, with the hi-tech alloys and other "improvements" that we're bound to see.

Just another example of how reg technology has not really improved in the last several years.

Thats good to hear. I haven't read anything bad about either setup.
Maybe I'll just flip a coin to see what setup to buy.

Nah, don't flip a coin. Just look over each reg setup and pick according to the "cool factor" of how they will match your rig!

I'm Ninja black with dark blue accents!
