So after rebuilding my Zeagle sets, I figured I'd look into doing the GF's SP sets. I was a bit surprised to see her older MK16 was actually a diaphragm type and not piston since i was hoping to do that one as practice before starting on her primary set. Can't even say when the last time that set was even used - I only found it while digging through the bin of miscellaneous dive gear she had ferreted away. Anyways, I know I'll need to get the Peter-built multi-tool and a piston/seat tool to do the MK-25 if I go there but I'm debating on whether to bother with the MK16/S600 rebuild at all, being it is a diaphragm and a non-adjustable 2nd. She uses an Air II for her octo if that matters and I don't think we will ever need a set for a stage bottle.
Guess what I'm really asking is should I bother starting in with any of the SP rebuilds at all? I have 3 Zeagle reg sets so it seems that for Zeagles at least, with 8 regs it make sense afa the $ savings. She is more than fine with getting the MK25/G500/Air II serviced at the LDS and I wouldn't have to deal with sourcing rebuild kits, purchasing tooling, etc for just 3 regs. On the other hand, I could sell the MK16/S600 set and cover some of the cost of tooling and kits. I do enjoy the work and satisfaction of completing it and already have the US cleaner, cristolube, and other general shop tools.
