The flat metal yoke screw puts this one from the mid 80s, by 1988 MK5's had the plastic top yoke screws along with plastic saddle.
The metal saddles seem to have disappeared right around the time the SPEC version showed up.
It is interesting to see that there was a MK5 SPEC with no saddle at all in the 1983 catalog.
