Which of the 2 BCs are the best and why?

So far from just the looks of the 2 brands, the Knighthawk/Ladyhawk VS Balance/Libra. They both only have one pocket and to me, the Balance/Libra pocket looks the best or look to be easier to tuck away or open.

The KnightHawk/Ladyhawk BC looks as if it takes both hands to ditch the weights, or would be more difficult to ditch while wearing thick gloves.

The balance weight system looks faster, but I was wondering if the weights could just happen to fall out if they are not clipped in very well.

What are your opinions on those 2 brands of wing type BCs?

I have a knighthawk and love it! Ditching the weights has never been a problem when i have practiced with thick gloves. It is a very high quality BC and will last almost forever if taken care of. I like the back inflate over the jacket style, but I have no idea which the balance/libra are. I believe that my knighthawk has two pockets on it to tell you the truth. They arent very big but thats what all the d-rings are for! it is a great all around vest!

I bought a used knighthawk some months ago. With Absolutely no, none absolutely no trouble removing the weights. Pockets are a bit small and hard to get to, but one has the roll out feature making it much larger. I believe new the Libra is less expensive than the Knighthawk, although I bought mine for less than $200.00...
You need to trim the weights front to back on the Knighthawk for surface bouyancy vs level swim below surface but overall a great BC

I have a Knighthawk and really like the way it works. Excellent lift and trim for me. No problem ditching weights (during drills only so far). As others have said, the pockets are not the best, but how much stuff do you really need to take with you anyway?

I will warn you not to refer to this type of BC as "wing" type. The BP/W (backpack with wings) crowd can be a bit touchy about that :peace:. This is a Back Inflate BC. And yes, there is a big difference.

Definately get the KnightHawk. Great BCD and really comfortable.

And yes the backplate and wing people will get touchy and probably try convince you to get a BP/Wing instead. But I say get the KnightHawk.

I'm used to 5mm (thick) gloves and the ScubaPro weight pockets are easy to ditch.
