Hi! I am finally biting the bullet and investing in a good regulator. I’m already set on buying the MK19 EVO. I’m going back and forth on the second stage option: G260 or S620Ti? I’ve seen a general preference for the G260 but I’m worried about the bulkiness and the weight of it. Is jaw fatigue actually a thing? Can I get opinions on how important regulator size is?

I’d also like to hear all the general pros and cons on the two regulators!

If I were to go with the G260, I think I’ll be buying the MK19 EVO BT + G260 Carbon BT bundle.

FYI: I’m a petite woman hence the concern. Budget is not an issue and I won’t be diving in extreme cold (at least in the near future).

mk19 is an awesome choice
The weight/bulk issue is more of a dry weight thing
The g260 has more trapped air on a dive, (while breathing it) so it floats more, so… weight doesn’t matter (haven’t made a true comparison, just the feel)
I believe jaw fatigue is more of a mouthpiece bite thing — at least my experience

The big diff for me:
The g260 also has microadjust and seat saver button, so, can hold tuning longer — so my bailout/bottom/main regs are both g260s

I see the allure of the BT version, but it doesn’t do much against scratches vs the regular — from what I hear

Both breathe awesome (in cold water as well)

Oh wow that option didn’t even occur to me. Would the maintenance of both high end regs be a lot?
Shouldn’t make much more of a difference actually, cost wise
Edit: some differences, but not that much

Edit2: ok, I couldn’t let it go,
Service kits have 2~5 eur diff vs downstream/unbalanced SP
Service time/labor should be almost the same

If in a pinch, the flat LP seat (the most critical soft piece for tuning a 2nd) can be flipped on downstream/unbalanced 2nds (except the c350 I think)
That seat can also be punched at home from sheet (learn about well it if you consider doing that)

That can’t be done on balanced ones with a tophat seat

(Please ignore all that of you don’t open your 2nds yourself)

This is so so so helpful!! Thank you!
I’m sorry for being a newb but could you tell me more about the seat saver part?

Yeah I think I’d definitely be having someone else service it for me as I don’t have the skill or knowledge. But this is still great to know! Thank you!

I also didn’t know till right before O bought it — no need to be sorry

You push the purge button, give it a slight twist ccw and it locks depressed; so it relieves the pressure from the orifice on the LP seat; best feature ever (to store and keep in tune/avoid freeflow)
Here it is demonstrated on a g250v (the 260 predecessor)

Oh WOW that’s so cool. I don’t know if that was specifically mentioned in the catalogue (perhaps it just went over my head because I didn’t understand). Thank you!

Not much more than other less expensive. Probably the same.
