How does the algorithm compare with the Galileo Sol for recreational repetitive diving. I had seen a thread long ago on this board that the Sol tech upgrade (which changed the algorithm from Buhlmann 8 to Buhlmann (16) made the computer significantly more conservative. Did that carry through to the G2?

I am interested because I really like the color display, but am satisfied with my Galileo algorithm and don't want more conservative.
 
I have a chest strap I don't use since it's pointless with a drysuit. 45 bucks.
