Some very basic questions from a relatively new diver and Scubapro owner.

My G250V come with an "inhalation-resistance control knob" and a "VIVA knob for easier Venturi adjustment".

So on the VIVA there is a "surface" setting and a dive setting. Why wouldn't I just leave it on the dive setting?

And as far as inhalation-resistance goes....could somebody explain (preferably in simple words) why I would want to INCREASE resistance?

Phil

If the reg is out of your mouth (on the surface, usually) it will freeflow (violently) if the purge button is tapped accidentally....to prevent this set viva to surface or minus.

Swimming into a current.

Simple and understandable....perfect

Thanks

+1 to Fish Pie

Different head position. For instance if you've tuned your control knob to minimum resistance when the diaphragm is perpendicular to the surface, it will tend to slightly free flow when looking down....so you may want to "de-tune" it with the adjustment knob.
