...I had this image of you at 110' looking like the michelin man :D

Just had one of many freeflow problems on the Air 2's when we took a group of students to a sandy beach today. It takes next to no sand to bring on trouble. If you are diving in Ohio, this may not be an issue, but if you plan to take your BC to sandy places, you could end up with a problem that can't be fixed on the vacation.

Well I flashed my VISA, it arrived in a box left at the door. My new AIR 2! After configuring it to my BCD and connected a tank and turning on the air - it free flowed, then it would no flow! I spent an hour servicing the damn thing and now it works well (scubapro must be slipping - or making too much money). I gave it a whirl today on a dive to 18 m (60 ft). It's quite good, although I'd hate to actually ever use it! It is a redundant 2nd stage for ME only (I have another ocky for others). I guess it is OK. Sand would definitely be an issue if it gets between the diaphrame and the seat. Time will tell if I continue to use it. Certainly, if it plays up too much, or free flows in turbid conditions - I'll be moving it along. Overall, a good idea, and with proper care and maintenance, a good redundant second stage. I prefer my apex TX100 though!! Dive safe "I opened the thread!"
