That doesn't surprise me, some of the Scubapro line at one time was made by Tusa/Tabata in Japan. Some of the parts are even interchangeable from what I've read.

ODS manufactures about 1/2 dozen of the lesser known brands like Hog - and given the obvious physical similarity, I assume Dive-Rite overseas also. Many of the house brands like Sea Elite or Blue Reef also. Oceanic sources parts from all over but assembles them in SoCal. I believe Zeagle does something similar in South Florida.

I think the only pure U.S. reg manufacturer left might be Atomic. They have a factory, and CNC mill all their own regs etc. I'm sure at least some of their parts are sourced overseas though no dive mfr. makes their own o-rings afaik for example. Apeks (England) and Poseidon (Sweden) do all inhouse mfg. also afaik.

I think it is OK, ask yourself, what isn't made in China these days?? I think 95% of the items you touch everyday are at least partially or fully made in china. It is really "first world" countries businessmans taking advantage of the low cost labor on developing county. The end result is business made more money, consumers get products for less money, and probably sacrificing some qualities.

By "made" does that mean assembled, produced, designed or what? Many items are actually manufactured in one country and the finished product completed elsewhere. What exactly does Scubapro do?

not sure those listings are for those companies actually making the regs themselves, just selling them. could just be distributors.

...and Seawing Novas are made in South Africa.

The metal parts (including the body) are made in Italy in one specific factory. The soft parts are sourced from other manufacturers in Europe (primarily Italian) AFAIK.

I'm not sure what to make of this. Perhaps this company is just a distributor, but the listing suggests it is the manufacturer The website name suggests this as The information is not available right now If this link doesn't work then just go to made-in-china.com and search for it.
Regs are made in Italy.
