My brother, dbnewton on SB, missed our Feb Juliet trip because he sent his PP in for renewal early, in preperation for theSB Roatan Invasion, and then everything shut down, and his PP disappeared for @ the same 5 to 6 months.

Damn. I just got my kids passports renewed in 4 weeks. Phew. Off to Coz for Christmas so that was a relief.

Timing is everything.
My brother sent his in early, so he could do the Roatan Invasion, and just in time for the temporary 15 day Covid19 shutdown, that has dragged on since late Feb.
Our planned Juliet Bahamas trip was within a time frame when his PassPort would have still been valid, but the US State Dept shut down about 1 week after he sent the PP in for early renewal.
Dale's PP was totally lost for months and months.

I finally got my PP back in August. 5 months and way too late for that Bahama trip.

If I'm lucky travel will be back to normal before this PP expires.

There is currently no guarantee of that last part....

I am currently in Roatan. I have been here a month and just finished my DM, IDC and IE.
It took about 3 solid months to get the pass port situation taken care of before hand.
I may end up staying until mid Jan.

As long as nothing changes, we'll be heading down for a couple weeks starting Dec 19th! Hopefully not too rainy!!
