Do they chum the water for the shark dive?

No, they bring a 5 gal buck of fish heads/ guts, but it stays closed and on the sea bottom until almost the end of the dive. Then they open it and it is utter bedlam for a few seconds while all of the sharks try and fit into that bucket at the same time!! It's basically a small snack so that the sharks don't get used to being fed. Once the bucket is clearly empty the sharks leave and you swim over the area looking for any fallen teeth for a few minutes before heading back up to the boat.

I wanna go but I promised my four year old a snorkeling trip with the whale sharks on Isla Mujeres. Maybe she should just start getting used to me disappointing her now....??....

Not to Roatan. I will be at the Surge in Little Cayman. We also have a cruise scheduled in 2020 plus our annual week in Gulf Shores/Orange Beach ... for some odd reason my employer won't allow me unlimited vacation time

Hi Jay,

I get closed to 3 months of paid vacation per year. Trust me brother, it aint enough! And, they may not let me go on the 2021 Surge!

I may have to learn to be happy with only Invasions.

So I have a question about this whole thing, though. Since I seem to have booked the last room as a double and I will be traveling solo, is there any way to fill the extra bed with someone on ScubaBoard who missed out? I sent an email to AKR but haven't heard from them yet. Maybe one of you guys who have done this before can offer a little insight?
Heck, even if someone is trying to pack three people into a two person space.....
