ScubaBoard Invasion Central 2015 Cozumel

I have to agree that the shore diving is quite good, if you are patient and slow. Tiny critters are everywhere, and are usually not so easy to find. Clay and I did about 20 shore dives there during the 2012 invasion and had a great time. It's not Bonaire, Roatan, Malaysia, and so on, but it sure beats a 50-degree lake with 5' viz, doesn't it?

There are amazing off-the-grid restaurants in Cozumel! We only ate dinner at Hotel Cozumel a few times, mainly because going out on the town is an easy 15-20min walk and it's fun! We didn't think the food was terrible, but it was not five-star. That said, you aren't paying a five-star price, so you should be realistic with your expectations. You don't get filet mignon and lobster at that price point anywhere in the world.

Janet and I aren't sure about this one right now, as we have a couple trips already booked for 2015. One is in question now due to a corporate vacation policy change, so we'll see...

The wife(non-diver) and I are interested as well. Is there a way(or some kind of counter) to see how fast it is filling up to the max? Too early to commit but want to act fast if the # of divers is approaching the limit.

Rooms are first come first serve. There is no counter, and the 2016 Invasion sould-out in less than 6 hours. We do have a little more space for the 2015 Invasion but once we reach 96 divers a waiting list will be started. There is no way to tell how fast this event will fill up.
The ScubaBoard Invasions have become the don't miss diving social event of the year.
The first day possible to join is July 29 @ 9:00 AM EST

Hotel Cozumel has a tunnel under the road that leads from the hotel lobby over to the
Los Girasoles restaurant/beach area/Dive shop/pier. There is no need to cross the road using the tunnel is very easy.
The beach & Pier is open 24/7
Los Girasoles is where they serve lunch and hold small events.
The Dive shop will close at 10pm ( this is also when shore diving ends)

noticed the signage in the video but didn't realize that is the tunnel
