Where does Alison pick up from?
This should be considered when picking a dive op. Downtown, Hotel, Marina or up North?

When I did my diving with Alison in January of 2009 I was a lone diver staying at the cozumel Palace which is north of the Caleta Marina where her boat the Maximus is based. All the other divers booked for the week I dove with her were staying at the Iberostar hotel on the far south of the island, It was not economically feasible for Alison to take the Maximus north to the Palace for one diver (understandably) which required me to take a cab back and forth from the Palace to the Caleta each day. I am trying BlueXTsea this year because I do not want to do the cab thing again. All else considered I would be diving with Alison again hands down.

Yea she picks up anywhere south of the Caleta. We are staying in town in May so for the first time we will be driving to the Caleta. When are you going in May? Maybe we will see you on the boat. Be sure to sign up on the going in May threads.
I'll just echo everything about Alison. We are setting up to meet Alison at Kinta for dinner first night. Like I have said before, its like diving with your crazy aunt who IS just that good. She is seriously funny but she is always on top of it. Checking and double checking everything.
Kat, You make me a little jealous with the countdown running to the NEXT trip while still on this one. Get me Orlando's XBOX gamer tag if you have a chance. Thought I would bring him some XBOX since he said the selection on the island is limited.

I've been to Coz several times since 2004. My first trip was with Alison by luck of the draw. Every trip since then has been by design. Diving with anyone else has never even crossed my mind. Not saying there aren't other great dive ops, but...."if it ain't broke don't fix it".

Got on the forums too late to add much more than the same in reply... Used her on my first trip to Cozumel after doing a lot of research. Prices are very competitive and service was great. Planning to dive with her again in Jun.

Charlie - when will you be on Coz? ... we'll be on Alison's boat starting June 5th - maybe we'll see you there?
She's great. My daughter and I got our cards together 5 years ago, we took our first OW trip to Coz. I wanted to get a private boat for just the two of us, since it was our first dive. The experience could not have been better, she did a magnificent job in introducing two newbies to OW diving in general and that wonderful island in particular.

Not sure at this point. My 'tentative' dates have changed about 20 times between coordinating time off at work and trying to see if gf is going - she's not, so I'm looking at earlier dates now.... maybe May 10th. If end up going in June I'll coordinate with you so at least we can catch up for a drink one evening. You flying CO out of AUS? They are the cheapest I could find.

Actually this next trip we're driving to Houston and flying Continental direct from there. Sometimes it's way cheaper to drive than pay for the connection from Austin.
Maybe if the timing works we'll see you on the boat AND for a drink!
