A couple of trivia questions.
I will reveal my source with the answers.

1) Name the agency with the first nationally (U.S.) organized scuba couse. BONUS Name the year it came out.

2) Give the years of inception for the other two (Big) agencies.

YMCA is correct. I don't know the year Walter was birthed.


Two more a little harder:

1) The first sport divers (not scuba) was started in California. Give the year. BONUS: Name the club

2)Give the year of the inception of the worlds first SCUBA club.
Bonus: Name the club

1959 - I'm older than that. I do personally know one of the instructors in that 1st instructor course held in Chicago in 1959. Dan is still an active diver.

NAUI started the following year in 1960.

PADI was a few (can't remember) years after that.

Bottom Scratcher, huh? Guess you got me on that one Walter. Were they really SCUBA diving in 1933? Hard to imagine, but I guess if they were building their own equipment in 1953, they could have been doing the same in 1933.
