OK now that we've all learned the who what and when
Does anyone else have any actual web sites that have scuba signs? So far I have seen 4 links

http://www.diveinstruct.org.uk/terms5.html
http://www.oxforddivecentre.com/signals/signals.html
http://www.seasigns.com.
http://scuba.about.com/gi/dynamic/o...t.wisc.edu/madisonjason11/diving_signals.html

Please add to the list if you have a source.
Thanks
Dj
Here's a good one for one hand numbering. You need Adobe to view it.
P.S.: Thanks to Curt Bowen for this page.

I know a very limited vocab. in ASL and it seems like there are different dialects even in the same city. :banghead: Anyway, I would love to be able to convince of my regular dive buddies to learn some ASL with me. Unfortunately no interest.
Also, I realize that I never did post the browser for ASL as I promised earlier in this thread, so here it is:

A great link, Brssmnky! Never thought there is one out there.

Underwater notepads have their limits.

Try writing when your fingers are numb from cold wearing thick neoprene gloves whilst holding a torch and in poor visibility.

Even without that writing takes time.

Hand signals are far quicker and dont require you to stop swimming or anything to convey a message, it can also be sent further away.

Also there is an "international sign", called "Gestuno" although i believe its not very popular.
