Anyone know anything about ScubaQuest in WPB? I have some friends taking classes there and I don't know anything about them.

I don't know much about WPB, but the guys at ScubaQuest Ft. Lauderdale, especially Hugh, are the best. I bought my Knighthawk BC, Mini SPG, gloves, weights, just about everything from these guys and was never dissastisfied.

I guess I was looking for info on their classes and instructors. Does anyone have any experience with that? As an instructor I worry about that aspect when people ask me for a recommendation. I don't know any of the instructors there. Maybe I'll go and check them out. :-)

Yea Hugh is great - that's the dude that I usually dive with - when he's not working every dang day !!

They teach under NAUI (which I prefer over SSI), and the only instructor I know is Hugh; he's in Fort Lauderdale. I've heard people say he's a very good instructor and a pretty cool guy also. I can vouch for the latter, but not for the former, as I've not had him as an instructor. He's quite knoledgeable though. About the WPB operation, I know nothing.

Hugh is one of the guys I dive with regularly, but he also did my advanced and Rescue - I can definitely vouch for that he is squared away in his teaching. He is very thorough and pays attention to detail. I would highly reccommend Hugh as an Instructor.

Just my opinion though......

Sounds like Hugh is the guy to know. I wonder if he teaches in WPB. Well, I will try to make it up to their shop and check it out. I also don't know as much as I should about NAUI, since I teach PADI. The biggest concern I had was that they charged them a REALLY small amount for the classes and it's been my experience that you get what you pay for.

I took all my dive classes at the Scuba Quest here in Tampa, that group of instructors was excellent. So far, two of their stores seem to have good instructors. Maybe WPB is the same.
