I have one and it has some great features. It is essentially a Knighthawk with pockets. The Knighthawk comes highly recommended on this Board. For a BC with integrated weights; quick tank exchanges on boat dive are so easy. The Scubapro camstrap is fantastic. I compared this against a Seaquest Balance and I prefer the Scubapro features, especially, the integrated weights design. In my opinion they are more secure.

Did you buy it from your LDS? Approx. cost too? Thanks again.

Just replaced my Superhawk NT with Seahawk. After diving with it was worth the upgrade. The 56 lb lift is great lots of adjustment for the perfect fit. Runs about $600.00 bucks add the AIR 2 and it goes for about 725. The trim pockets are in the right place to be out of the way but gives you plenty of trim for back surface swimming or vetical balance at the surface. More than happy with mine. LDS has an easy 20% to discount like my shop did.

If I opt not to get the Air-2, does it include a basic power inflater? Also, what other BCD's did you consider before making your decision?

Thanks

The basic price $600.00 includes the power inflator. The key factors and I have several local LDS in my region was I have dove with Scubapro since 1969, I had the Superhawk NT which is similar but with less lift and preceeded the Knighthawk. So all in all in, I have a great LDS that treats me right with Scubapro, I have been very comfortable with the updates as changes are made and the quality I have seen over the years. Another plus is ScubaLab chose it as the Testers' Choice for multi-purpose BCD for 2010. In closing I dive withfolks from all over the region that use Sherwood, Mares, and U S Divers. I couldn't say one bad thing about the equipment that they have decided on, for me with Ice, wreck or zero vis diving my comfort zone is the equipment that I personally have trust in.

If you get the chance, try to test dive it first! We are a ScubaPro Dealer and most of our divers opt for the Knighthawk over the Seahawk (when test diving), primary reason is the freedom. If you really want the bigger pockets than you may not be bothered by the extra space that they take up, but you won't know until you have it on.

Wayne @ Diveseekers: Awesome you let divers check out different models/ One thing past the pockets which wasn't to much of a consideration was the extra 12 lbs. lift the Seahawk has. That's why I chose the Seahawk but you are right the Knighthawk divers have me outnumbered but I tend to do a little more of the Tech/Wreck stuff.

I tend to do a little more of the Tech/Wreck stuff.

I've actually seen divers use a single 119 steel tank and sling a 40 stage with the Knighthawk.

Not to get off track here, but.... if you are doing a little more of the Tech/Wreck stuff then why don't you just do a BP&W now? Buy right the first time instead of doing it twice! That's the reason why the Halcyon Eclipse System is the #1 BC in our shop. If they are not in that then typically it's a DiveRite TransPac with a Voyager wing. The last choice that they are in is the Knighthawk.

Feel free to call a discuss in more detail on the phone.

Anyone have tips about weighting the trim pockets in ratio to the front weight intergrated pockets on the Seahawk?
