I dive a Mk 20 S600 setup with a R380 as a backup, I took it to 185 feet in 52 degree water this spring with not a hint of a problem. My buddy dives a Mk25 UL with a D400, same dive no problems either.

I've had my MK20/G500 to 115 feet at 38 F and no freeze. Also under the ice at 45 feet and no freeze. And have had no problems with it at all. Same with my MK20/250 too.

I have heard constant problems with Poseiden. So I would never buy one. Not that they aren't good regs but they need somebody who can work on them. They are finicky.

I also use my Apeks all the time. DS4/TX50 and TX100's. I've gotten 8 total Apeks.

There will always be somebody who's had problems with the reg your looking at. But the ScubaPro or Apeks would be the one's to buy. I wouldn't buy a Poseiden. They're to much of a pain to get serviced. ScubaPro dealers are everywhere.

Poseidan Odin $280
ScubaPro MK25/S600 $426
Apeks DS4 ATX50 $291
Apeks DS4 TX50 $250
Apeks TX100 $350

We dive both warm and cold water living here in the PNW. My wife and I are very happy with the Scubapro 16/550 combo. No problems up to 110' and from 48F to 87F. I breathe like a hoover at times( I am getting better thank you), and I have never lacked for air at depth or low tank preassure. Good bullet proof systems, reliable and servicable worldwide.

They aren't hard for me to get serviced - my LDS owner (and friend) is a "official" or whatever they call it poseidon dealer and service center...so for me, it was the logical choice.
