Just wondering, am I the only one that thinks it would be cool to somehow attach a thermos to the BC with a tube to drink hot coca underwater? Does anybody sell systems like these?

yup, there is one was called scuda http://www.scuda.com/ i think you could just bring a camelback down on a dive, i know this has been discussed before somewhere

edit: didnt see the part about keeping it hot, not sure that would work with the scuda

Thank you for the link. Interesting design.

Would be cooler if it was connected directly to the regulator though.

Hey, how about this idea: Produce a thermos with a Low Pressure port on the buttom. You attach a 2 hoses to it, one to drink, and another from the LP port on your first stage to automatically add air to the thermos?

Think I can patent it?

it is connected directly to the regulator. You replace your existing mouthpiece with theirs.

As for your idea? Uh, don't bother. Why would you want a hard container that will change your buoyancy rather then a soft bag that affects nothing but your hydration problem? If you need hydration mid dive, this system makes sense.

Because I like HOT coca?

Might be best to just wait until you're back up top. But good luck figuring out a way to accomplish this.

HOt Coco, anc coffee and any caffinated beverage can lead to further dehydration. You should porbably leave those beverages for after diving. Best if you want to get hydrated underwater to use a camel back. I do like the idea of the scuda.. but honestly I would hate to have it looming around my face and just in my field of vision would drive me nuts.... I Have tried the camel back and you do have to blow air into it to get anything out of it.. the only problem I found it salt water can force it's way into it if you don't have the closing mechinism on the mouth piece... the little yellow piece that stops the camel back from accidentally leaking......

Make the bag out of silicone with a soft insulation on the outside. The silicone will take the heat.

Hmmm... a Thinsulate (or maybe neoprene) bota...

Main Entry: bo·ta
Pronunciation: 'bO-t&
Function: noun
Etymology: Spanish, from Late Latin 'buttis' cask
: a soft leather bottle (as for wine)

I just happen to know someone that can make one of those... :D
