Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone had a chance to read the Scuba Diving Magazine's Dive Destinations Readers 2007 Choice Awards article? Does anyone have any comment or opinions on the results. In particular I was wondering what people thought about:

Hi Im away from home and wont be getting my magazine for another couple of weeks and was wondering what Liverboards made it this year.
As for the results you posted I have only been to KW and USVI so not much to compare there. Definetly KW is a nice place to have some fun if you enjoy staying out until dawn, I was working for a few months there. I dont know if I made much money on that job but I did have a good time and actually produced excellent work for the client despite the many late nights, thanks to some well timed weather downtime.

They did not do Liveaboards for the article.

After spending a week at Little Cayman this year (plus a few Maui dives) I'm surprised it ranked as low as it did. But then diving is just about all you can do there. Trying to get to Dominica this spring, so we'll see how that measures up.

I'm surprised they don't have the top 5 "butt-freezing cold, no viz, pain to get to, but better than not diving" sites.:D

It's not clear to me whether the top heading (Caribbean/Atlantic) applies to the succeeding "Top 5" lists. I think that Maui is not in the Caribbean/Atlantic, and I think that if these are worldwide lists they only polled American divers. Which makes sense, I guess; most of their readers are American, I'm sure.

I've been a bit disappointed with the limited scope in this and previous Top 100 issues in that they cover no diving on three of the seven continents (South America, Africa and Antarctica) which are the ones of greatest interest to me at this point in my diving career. I've written the mag about it the last two years.

Maybe I should offer to write reports about them if SCUBA Diving will cover my expenses!

Since these are reader's choice awards I would have expected that.

Vladimir,
The Carribean/Atlantic Heading applies only to the first list.

You may have a point here. I guess if you are correct, they take the top 100 picks based on reader input and organize these by geographic region.

I was thinking they took each geographic region as a category and then polled the readers on those regions.

Sure would be nice to see more coverage of the other half of our planet (heck, Europe too).
