If you live in Sydney or are coming to Sydney, check out the "Scuba Dive Sydney" Facebook page, were just a group of certified divers who enjoy diving and we dive most weekends as well as night dives during the week, if your looking for a dive buddy or some people to dive with check out the page and leave a message on the wall.
Not sure if your allowed to recommend Facebook pages in this forum, but i though i'd give it ago, as the Australian section of this forum dosent seem to get much action, although i'm sure it gets read over alot
