heard on the radio today that a 48 year old diver died at Saltery Bay BC ( site of the Mermaid). Anyone have any info on this??

ok heard a little more...he was diving alone in a shallow beach area [30 ft max] and got tangled in a float line. apparently he came to the surface signaled that he was ok, but by the time one of the bystanders got his canoe in the water he was submerged. another diver was sent out to look and found him right there tangled.
he was rushed to shore [100yds] and an ambulance took him to hospital, but was pronounced doa.
