SCUBA club event ideas

I am looking for some ideas for our scuba club to do.

We already have UW pumpkin carving, treasure hunt, and Easter egg hunt.

Looking for other fun ideas.

(our local dive hole is a quarry so keep that in mind)

Our LDS does a Pumpkin Dive. No carving, but about 10-15 pumpkins with names on them are hidden. Buddy teams write each name on their slate. Prizes in order of how many you find.

My old shop just raised $50k doing a dive for a cure fundraiser. I wasn't able to attend, but they had a ton of activities jammed into one day. Look for Eugene Skin Divers Supply and/or Dive for a Cure on Facebook.

Ours does a couple weekend long camp outs at the quarries during the summer. They also invite speakers to come & talk about different subjects during the regular meetings & also have "Meet & Greets" where everyone can relax & talk diving. For the community, the club helps with the area Ohio river clean- up.

We usually schedule dive trips with the club some are overnights and some are boat dives. As for community relations we have helped the girl scouts plant eel grass for them to release grouper into and we also do a cleanup every now then as well.

We do regional quarry trips in the summer. We have some monthly social event so new members can come and get to know us. Dinners at restaurants is a regular thing. I really like some of the other ideas people are giving
