I looked at the ranger and stiletto as well

Vote is for the Stiletto.

I have put as much as 35lbs of lead in mine at times and have run it with no lead. I dive it from Drysuit in the local quarry to the warm tropical waters with a skin shirt. I really like the rear dumpable trim pockets. As for all the D-rings and stuff. The stiletto has places to put extra D-rings,look at my pic and you can see that i have added a few. Plus it packs much smaller than the ranger.

The rangers are nice, although unless you plan on running doubles or needing a LOT of lift for some reason the the Ranger is over kill. Kinda like buying a Vette and never getting out of 2nd gear:cool2:

Look at the type of diving you do 90% of the time and go from there. No sense in paying for features you'll never use....mho:wink:

Either way both are very nice BC's and if taken care of will last a very long time. And you can't beat Zeagle customer service!!

Do you really think putting 35# of lead on a BC with a max lift of 35# is a good idea?

That much lead along with a full tank and regs makes a very negative rig. Pushing some lead onto a belt / harness might be a better solution. The ranger has a larger standard bladder for a reason - to balance out a cold water fully integrated rig (unfortunatly, making it big and a poor choice for travel). I am not knocking the Stiletto - its a nice BC and can do many things - but the smaller size does place some limits on how you do it.

Any chance it fits with the current Zeagle 30% off promo? (I should probably call Joe Monday and ask him but wondering if anyone knows now)

Any word on this??

The Brigade is not a standard Zeagle BC, as it is made for, and exclusively sold by, Scuba Toys.

Therefore it would not qualify from the Zeagle side of things....however, feel free to give Joe a call and see what he says. When it comes to Brigade pricing, Joe and Larry do their own thing!!!

Thanks,

Scott
