Look what I just scooped up for the princely sum of $190.

DSCN11790.jpg

2 Catalina 80's
1 Luxfer 80
1 Steel 72.

This now brings my tank collection up to 16...maybe I should look at which ones I actually need :D lol

Well just come up here to dive, and I'll let you borrow them while you're here :D

...the downside is keeping all those tanks 'dive-legal'......I own 2 ponys/2 twinsets/9 singles.....and it can add up annually with visuals and periodic hydros...I just picked up 3 of my tanks yesterday form a LDS...spent $ 120 for 3 hydros/visuals/ EAN 32 fills.

Yeah, that is a downside, fortunetly because I'm doing my DM with a local shop, I get free VIP's, pay cost for hydros and get free air, and $5/tank for EAN. So I manage lol.

looks like you even got a "J" valve thrown in for free eh?

Haha yeah a nice old J valve, which actually has a threaded inset that I've never seen before. That tank is actually already sold to a friend of mine that is putting together a vintage setup anyway.

I don't feel so bad now. I thought having three steel 72's and two steel 95's were bad. But i must admit that if i came across a screaming deal like you did, i would have bought them, too! Good diving!

Hello Jimmer, What a great deal! Is that 72 a US DIVER? It looks like the two tanks I just put together on Saturday. The bands from Detroit mudpuppy are absolutly awesome! They were the envey of those involved, I am considering ordering anouther set for my 119's in the spring. I need to find a great deal like that of yours then! I love scuba gear! Here is a question for you....do you or do you know where to find a set of matching vintage boots for my US DIVERS 72's? I am really excited to try them out. Congratsulations on the buy and have a great evening, CamG Keep diving....keep training....keep learning!

Hi Cam, It doesn't have any USD markings on it at all. I do actually have a matching set of galvanized USD 72's, that were setup with modern isolation manifolds, but I've been slowly leaning towards setting them up as a vintage doubles setup, and using the two Catalina's I bought as my midrange doubles.
