Scheduled Maintaince for this Weekend

While I am not certain of the exact time of the work please be aware that the board will be down for a short duration this upcoming weekend (8/21 and 8/22). While everything seems to be working well we have noticed a lot of lag loading pages during peak hours which is unusual given the load of users we currently are seeing. To help rule out possible problems we are going to recompile our database program (mysql) to better optimize performance. Downtime should be limited to 30 minutes or so with no residual problems expected. Thank you for your understanding.

Seriously, I have noticed the lag that you mention. Glad you are taking action BEFORE things become nasty.

This maintaince has been rescheduled to a later date this week, an update will be posted when I have more on the exact time.

We have successfully recompiled our database server to work more efficiently, so far testing shows that things are substantially faster but we will not be certain of the full effects until a few days go by.
