Hi all.
Never seen one, and am curious. From images, do they accept a DIN adapter for SCUBA ?

Is there anyone using a SCBA cylinder for SCUBA ?

The insert won't work. Only works on the Pro valves that are designed to accept a yoke. Not every DIN valve can take an insert. Sure you can screw it in, but the yoke won't fit the valve.

The other adaptors you are looking at look like fill adaptors, not intended to dive with.

Most of the cheap SCBA tanks you are likely to find are out of date. They have a finite life expectancy (usually 15 years) at which point they are scrap. Add on top of that the composite wrap isn't rated for underwater use.

And if you forge ahead ignoring the issues, it will take a s**tload of lead to sink it.

Thanks!
OK; Even if the first image DIN insert fits a SCBA valve (unknown) , the SCUBA 'A' yoke does not get 'on and around' the valve body. Now I think can discern it by observing the second image.

Fill adaptors... If an 'A' filling yoke can be used, does not mean a first stage will mount on it. If I understand properly.

No intention to repurpose a SCBA cylinder for SCUBA. Just curiosity. Now I learned from your good light. :thumb:

There are DIN looking SCBA valves which are too large to fit a scuba DIN. (these are australian)

In the USA SCBA valves are mostly male thread which also cannot take any kind of adapter to a scuba reg
SCBA Life Support Aluminum Valves

Composite SCBA cylinders are almost always M18 thread and can take a scuba valve and are sometimes used in sump diving despite not being rated for underwater use. They take a crapload of lead to sink. A 9L carbon fiber (roughly the same size as a hp100) take 14lbs to make it neutral. So unless you have a very specific need its a terrible scuba tank
