I don't know if this applies to charters, but the Mass. recreational limit on sea scallops is 1 bushel in the shell or 4-lbs. of shucked meats per day.

It's "4 quarts", not "4 lbs", of shucked meats per day. That's about a gallon, about 10 lbs, so I was right at the legal limit, as determined by a scalloper's measure, if you know what I mean....
