Great photos - sounds amazing. Even just around the bend of the Atlantic (in False Bay), it was amazing the different sealife that was present - same temps as here but dramatically different everything else. Glad to hear you guys had a great trip.

I'm telling you - we're going to buy a house there in a few years so we can move there someday. Different part of Africa, but you know, still Africa. And not Massachusetts.

'Til then, I say we try to get Fran to book us in for Memorial Day out of Scituate and (of course), hone our scalloping skills. OK, well, I support those who are honing their scalloping skills, but it's all the same...

Great article..

A friend of mine dive's for scallops, I have not had the opportunity to go out with him (yet!)... Can't wait until we actually get to hook up and go!

I'm all for it, but maybe a Pinthis or Mars/scallop combo would make it more worth fran's time?

I was kidding about the scalloping part (I support you guys who take scallops and lobsters for eating, but I don't do it myself)...but I am all for Mars/Pinthis!

Wish I could tolerate the deeper water right now for 2 dives, but I think I am off charters until May, sticking to shore dives through winter..think I will go ahead and upgrade to a DUI with zip seal dry gloves next year, the cold hand thing is starting to p*ss me off - went last weekend, and my hands were freezing before I even got close to water. Guess I'll be saving the pennies once again...

Have a great holiday - we're off to Blighty.

This article was incredible, Good Job!!!!
Looking forward to bring some home .

Nice article Matt. When should I be over your house for dinner? Scallops are a close second to lobstah on my favorite foods list. Yum, yum. Keep me in mind for any trips out to the Pinthis. It's on my "dives to do list" for '06.
