Since I can't dive for a few more days :frown: I'll post a pic that I took in October 2002 when I paddled my kayak over to Molokini Crater for a dive. This is a Gilded Triggerfish (male) and I have not encountered them anyplace else on Maui other than at Molokini Crater.

Very pretty!

rad21, it took me one hour to paddle over to Molokini and about 1 and 1/2 hours to paddle back. I take my time coming back after doing a deep dive. I NEVER paddle to Molokini if there is ANY chance of the Trade Winds coming up. Once in awhile we have a high presure system that stalls over the state for a few days and there are no Trade Winds.

Gilligan- Glad to see your post, I look forward to them and I had not seen one since the change in the Board. I was afraid they had lost you .

Thanks bobert, I'm still here. Just haven't been diving due to some very minor surgery on my hand. The weather has also been crappy as far as the wind. Hope to get back out on Tuesday.
