It's been way to long since I have been able to dive my home waters and I am happy to report that it's pretty damn good currently.

We splashed on 3 different wrecks looking for bugs and flounder. We did not see any lobs but came home with our limit on door mats. Water conditions were pretty nice with the first 50' of beautiful Gulf Stream warm blue water, as soon as you hit the 50' mark we swam through a hazy, milky thermocline and the temp dropped 20 degrees. Vis up top was 75-100+ and bottom vis went anywhere from 50' down to 20' depending on which wreck we were on.

It's unfortunate that there are no dive boats running here anymore. :( This is such a great place to dive.

Yeah, I know. The constant SE wind is pushing the nice water into the area. Hopefully it stays like this and we get the opportunity to bring home dinner again. Fresh flounder is about as good as it gets.:cool2:

We have suffered a massive amount of blow outs thus far...... Hopefully the weather Gods will give us some relief. We are going to try for the moonstone next sunday. I have not been on her since the old days, I am really looking forward to it.
