The next scheduled meeting of the Sarnia Underwater Club is set for Wednesday March 9, 2011. The usual arrangements will once again be in order-Dinner downstairs at 6:00 pm followed by the meeting upstairs at 7:30 sharp.

This month’s speakers, are our perennial favorites Jim and Pat Stayer. Jim and Pat will present their latest HD underwater films;

Diving Among the Kings

At the northwestern tip of Indonesia’s West Papua Province lies an archipelago known as the Four Kings. This region has been deemed the most biodiverse location in the world. More than 3000 species of fishes and over 300 species of corals have been identified here. Join the Stayers as they spend a month exploring this remote area. See incredible footage of coral spawning, cuttlefish eating, sea snakes hunting, and a blue ring octopus displaying its colors.
Unique Splendor of the Sea of Cortez
The Sea of Cortez, although it is only 3 ½ hours south of Phoenix, Arizona, still has remote areas yet to be explored. There are untouched walls and reefs that abound with marine life. Divers encounter humpbacks and sperm whales, guitarfish, horn sharks, and bulls eye electric rays. The Sea of Cortez has some of the largest sea lion populations in the world. The sea lions are very inquisitive and often come right up to the camera lens. Join the Stayers as they interact with these playful animals.
