for those who dive Sarnia. I love this pic taken this weekend of one our club members in mid drop off 10 foot wall

Great pic!

So, tell me.. just how far down IS that "giant stride"? Shouldn't there be parachutes involved? ;)

With the water level dropping every year it seems to take more nerve to do the jump:D

Actually the tricky part is the water is getting rather thin!

Anyone who may be coming to Sarnia this weekend be advised that the normal dive area is likley going to be clsed off due to the construction south of the bridge. There are a couple of options including a back way in to the CSL area. If you want details then PM me.

Also Redwing nut, I found a rather nice dive knife near the CSL pilings Monday night so if someone in your group lost it let me know.

Otherwise I am making a sleeve for it:)

THAT WAS ME! just kidding. haven't heard of anyone losing a knife

I could never understand why guys would do that jump!!
If you walk 10' feet to your left you can just walk into the water and not take the chance of wrecking your dive.
I saw a young guy do that jump about 13 years ago when he hit the water his tank hit him in the head and split his head open and he lost his mask, panic set in and it took 3 of us to get his dumb ass out of the water and 6 stitches to close the wound on his head......
Nice picture though
