yeah, I wouldn't worry about it too much right now. Sept is a long way away, especially for the So Cal dive boats. They usually don't start booking up for trips until about a month out, with the exception of groups.
We have seen sea lions at Anacapa, but not as many as at Santa Barbara. The boats in San Diego go to the Coronados Islands which are supposed to have sea lions too, right?

Heck, I just did a dive at Santa Cruz island on Saturday 28 FEB 09 and a group of probably ten came out and played with us for the longest. They came and went away then they came back and stayed until all the divers ran out of air and got back to the boat. I was barking at them and one of them barked back.
