The dive today at Harsen's Island:
We had a great time, Water temp at depth was 40 degrees F. MLDA had eight divers, and seven surface support people... not bad.... Thirty one (31) people showed up and then there were friends, and friends of friends, all of who came to share this special "Island" experience. That's a head count after the dives, once in the bar. There may have been a few I missed that didn't stick around after their dives. It turned out GREAT!. . . . .
A few folks made their first "river dive".
A few others braved the elements in wet suits. And, there was surface support every where you looked.
There was even some old bottles found.

I'd like to extend my appreciation to the many people that helped out with all the divers. It's always a struggle getting on dive gear, especially doing it in cold weather. The many people lending a just made the day great, thanks everyone.

Our next scheduled open water event... THE NEW YEARS DAY FLOAT DOWN... see you there.

By the way, we need some folks to man the coffee/hot chocolate stand at the
exit point... I think we are going to set-up an easy-up tent with the coffee
& hot chocolate, oh yeah maybe a propane heater too...any volunteers?
