Will be sailing from Miami to Marathon the last week of Apr. I am looking for dive sites that would work for 3divers, 1 junior diver, 2 snorkelers. We have 2 teenage divers that have seen quite a bit. Are there any areas that might have dolphins or nurse sharks , eels or anything else exciting. Would also like suggestions on shore activities and restaurants for 2 adults and 4 young teens. Do we need wetsuits for shallow dives the end of apr. we are pretty hardy Thanks

in sand near patches of reef and you will be happy. Lots of patch reefs in 15-40 feet of water down here.

We see a lots of sailboats aground down here due to shallow waters & deep drafts on sailboats....sail carefully.

On your charts look at Molasses Reef near Key Largo & Sombrero Reef near Marathon.

3 weeks in and off Key Largo a little over a year ago waiting to cross to the Bahamas. ALL kinds of diving off Key Largo - best bet IMHO is to get to the reefs right after the dive boats leave and use the dive bouys. Dove Mollasses, Benwood, Civil war wreck and lots more. Have fun.
