Completing the dive, Where everyone does good - ok
Having hot pizza on speed dial after a cold dive - Priceless.

ROFLOL......

Loved it :jestera:

hmmm.... I am not that hardcore, so I will take a light, and sausage and a whistle.... but I think the most innovative thing I have seen and caught onto is the Magna Doodle underwater... easy to work and erase, fun for making wierd pictures underwater or writing taunts.

Just my pennyworth.

Yep, the doodle is a great idea, its just so damn difficult to fit the BIG ones in a pocket. :eyebrow:

Here is a question for you all, has anyone used a emergency GPS locator/transponder, the ones used by lone sailors or aircraft.

These are compact and might (?) be waterproof. Could be fitted into something like the OMS 660 tube. It could be the ultimate liveabord/adventure-eco dive, self rescue tool!

Anyone?? :crafty:

What and Where:

Small blunt tip knife with line cutter - attaches into back of console
Shears - in sheath in BC pocket
Whistle - ziptied to Low pressure inflator hose, at mouth level.
Main light - on coiled lanyard, clipped to d-ring
backup light - on coiled cord in BC pocket, clipped inside pocket
second backup light (night dives mostly) - attached to mask strap or in bc pocket
Plastic tent stake with hook removed - in BC pocket
SMB - rolled up, clipped to shoulder D-ring
Good dive buddy - almost always.
Gloves - usually on hands, sometimes in BC pocket.
Air Supply - on my back
Back-up key to Truck - just in case (local dives only)
Reels - only for wrecks (so far)

Need to get or want to get:
Mirror - especially after reading recent links about CDs
Z knife / Line cutter / hook knife - just because
Pouch for backup mask - maybe

Hmmm ... I could speculate on the use for the tent stake, but what is your intended potential use for that item?

Maybe a tie-off point for a solo line search?? Hmm. Maybe he's taking a tent too....

I have to admit, I didn't consider a tent!

My first speculation was to use as a bottom spike to hold position in current, if needed.

As with any fundamental and simple tool, however, it is no doubt remarkably versatile, and I await further ideas.

Cheers,
Walter
