Well yesterday found the Delaware divers on the oc diver for a little r&r. The weather liars lied again and conditions were great. Slow rollers 1-2 and a light breeze. We anchored up and the surface vis was pushing 25+. Everyone splashed in front of me as I took my time in no particular hurry. 2 divers went wet???? I stepped in and enjoyed the surface temp of 70 and started down the line. At 16 fsw the heat went off and the vis also. Mid water was a solid 5' of vis with a lot of particulate. The bottom held a solid 15-20' of vis off the wreck, the inside was like soup. I wandered around a little and saw two legal taug which I passed on and several palm size flatties. I went back past the anchor line and realised I was alone, everyone had retrieved their lines and bugged out. I continued my tour to the 50 minute mark and left that balmy 46 degrees behind. Thank goodness the hang was brief at the 20 fsw stop cause I was cold. My 10' stop was a lot more tollerable but one dive was enough for me this day. max depth 99fsw, run time 62 minutes, gas 31/10 and 70%. The 2 divers who went wet went again but very short of even the ndl. Two small bugs were liberated and we shared stories of other dives all the way back to the dock. A great day!

Nice report Eric, I dont think I would like that bottom temp but I am ready for a shallow warm dive. Where did Ray dive? Keith

the aquasport braved the weather report on Sunday morning and it proved to be not for the timid. They found a solid 3-4 foot swell going out of o.c. inlet that was tighter than advertised. They opted for the north beach wreck which lies in 70fsw fairly inshore. The visibility for dive one was 15-20 feet and Martin reported running his reel out to the end going one direction and the wreckage just kept going. He colected two flatties and lost two others. Ray went in on the tide change and conditions went south in a hurry. Vis closed out to the normal 2-3 feet and he was unsuccessfull at catching any dinner. Martin went in for a second dive and wound up thumbing it and pulling the hook.

All the reports that I got said Sun. was going to be the better day and it totally flipped. I was surf fishing on Sat and tried to cut my thumb off with a bait knife. I hope that I can pull my suit on next weekend. If the weather lets us I would love to dive this weekend. We can use my boat or Rays but I do like treating you guys to a boat ride for helping me out. Sat. is better but Sun. is OK to. Let me know. Keith

Hi Kieth,
I am doing the 150 wood wreck on sat. Ray and Martin will prolly want to go on sunday. I will call them and I will pm you their phone and e-mail info.

I have been tempted more than once to get in the truck and drive to Wakefield VA and leave a bag of flaming poop on their porch. lol
