My wife and I are planning to move to NC two weeks from tomorrow. Of course that plan could change but that's the current plan.

The "greatest" diving disappointment I have is that I was never able to schedule a dive in the river at the site my buddy pulled up pieces of wood when he was grappling for his fouled traps. However, he told me the other day that site is now marked on nav-charts so whatever is there is not just pieces of wood.

:(

Shame, but the further south you go, the diving gets better, no?

I hope to be heading south eventually myself.:D

Don't worry. Us NELD will recover all the treasures you left behind in the river.:)

Hey Green there is a whole fantastic group there, if you don't already know. They are called NCDivers.com, I believe. If you are interested in their site and I have listed it incorrectly, shoot me a pm and I will get you to the right person :)

Don't worry about it, considering, "The end of the world as we know it comes in 3062 days..."

Ahhh...the Aztec or Mayan calendar.....for those that need a more detailed date... that would be 12 Dec 2012.

Supposedly, all predictions by the calendar have come true.....even up to today. I am def taking my vacation early that year.

Oh, and by the way......welcome to NC. We have some pretty good diving here and you wont need your dry suit either.

Mike,

Your move will be New England's loss.

The time you took to correspond with me as a dive student and to dive with me as a new diver will never be forgotten. The difference the advice you gave me when I made my 6th ever dive with you at Clark's Point resulted in a difference in dive 7 that still astounds me as I approach 300 dives.

One of my goals is to someday be appreciated as a mentor. If you would care to share that goal I'd like to be the first to say congratulations, job well done!

Thanks again and good luck,
Pete

GM,

You'll be missed - sorry we won't have a chance to dive together one last time before you leave. Hope that the transition goes smoothly for you and Mrs. GM.

Thanks Chris.

I'll always remember our first meeting; my neck is still sore from having to look so far up. :D

My best to you and your family.

Wow. Your words honor me, Pete. Thanks much for the compliments.
