I can sadly confirm that I saw a body bag brought up from Catalina not San Clemente this last weekend on Sunday. I was by the gas dock filling up my dingy when we saw the rescue boat pull up to their ramp and bring a stretcher with a body bag up the ramp. We didn't want to get in their way or annoy the workers but the bag was full and their was at least 7 rescue workers that brought up the body from the boat. The only other explaination was a drill, but judging by the initial response, I can say it didn't look like a drill...
 
I guess I'm missing the relevance of the last post to the subject of this thread, but maybe I missed something earlier.

However, in response to that post, I may be mistaken but I think in some cases bodies from San Clemente are brought to Catalina if they are not flown directly to the mainland.
