I did a test of one of the 1400 mah replacement batteries...by shooting maximum flash images (shooting a wall farther away than the flash could properly light.. and then looking at the image... zooming in.. then taking another image..got 126 shots, and was getting the flashing battery light, but it still took pictures.

Shooting slower would provide more images... making sure the flash is not fired at maximum would provide more images.. not reviewing the images would provide more images. I don't take more than 40 or 50 shots during a dive, so these batteries should easily last two dives and then some.

I concur, my 1200mah battery is doing similar. Freshly charged, internal strobe on Manual and power set at 1/3, leave the zoom set at 35mm, camera configured per my earlier rants, 2 out of 3 shots flash, Inon D2000 doing the real work, I am easily getting close to 200 pics per charge.

I also find it a challenge to fire off more than 40 or 50 shots in a typical dive so this should be plenty for two dives. Keep a spare battery just in case I do a 100 shot dive, should be good to go.

I tell you, my Inon D2000 overheated in the Bahamas on a 100 shot dive when we were in the middle of a shark-fest. The camera is not the only limiting factor to how many shots can be accomplished during a dive. If you spend any time composing, adjusting, work your strobe around and let it cool a bit after a burst, 50 shots is pushing it. In a 45 minute dive that is more than one shot per minute average. :shocked2:
